Join us each Thursday morning to become a part of the Maine Forest Playgroup�" a free, exclusively outdoors program serving toddlers and their families in the Southern Midcoast region of Maine.

Started in the dead of winter in 2015, the Forest Playgroup has grown organically into a diverse network of over 5,000 Maine families across 5 branches- all dedicated to sharing our love of the outdoors with our children and to cultivating a community that embraces the adventure of parenting.

We are a free, 100% volunteer-run, parent-facilitated program that aims to provide a space for like-aged children to explore, learn and interact outside. Integrating principles from child-led educational models, our program supports our children's natural curiosity and developmental learning. With a holistic, family-focus, we are working to cultivate a positive, active and inspiring culture for parents, and fill an important niche within our community.

Each Thursday adventure offers an interactive storytime and hands-on activity to set a framework to support interaction and free-play. Our location switches up weekly, bringing us to some of the beautiful outdoor spaces surrounding the Southern Midcoast region of Maine.
