Escuela Pura Vida is an after-school Spanish immersion studio designed by veteran teacher, Señorita Dafni. As a Spanish teacher of five years in both public and private schools, Señorita Dafni has a plethora of tools to teach language acquisition skills to children at their most optimal age for learning. Classes are dynamic to accommodate all learning styles and can host up to eight children. Señorita Dafni uses a mixture of dance, song, movement, play, art and technology to create a fun and easy learning environment.
Escuela Pura Vida strives to provide an open-door policy for all students interested in learning Spanish. Curriculum is designed in a strategic manner that allows any student to become a member of the Escuela Pura Vida community at any time. Each “semester” is designed according to a particular theme. Classroom Design:
As an experienced Spanish elementary teacher, Señorita Dafni has designed her Spanish studio and classes to be age appropriate and engaging for all students. Each class integrates a variety of well designed curriculum that includes physical movement, song, dance and hands-on project based learning. Children will acquire knowledge of the Spanish language through circle activities, art and play. Classes will be taught intimately in an open concept studio to ensure that each child is properly engaged and receives a rich education.

Children’s Spanish
Ages 3-6:
Monday Sessions; 4:15-5:15 (Jan. 9- Mar. 20)
Tuesday Sessions; 3:30-4:30 (Jan. 10- Mar. 21)
This course is designed for pre-kinder and kinder children who are interested in learning the basics of the Spanish language in a fun and active classroom. Students will be introduced to the fundamental elements of the Spanish language through dance, song, art, cultural traditions and communication. They will be immersed through natural forms of play using manipulatives, creative games, arts, crafts, music and physical movement. This class is designed to make learning fun while introducing children to classroom routines and expectations. Children will be taught introductory motor skills and general school skills; how to produce quality coloring, practice writing their letters, proper gluing techniques and classroom etiquette. Children’s Spanish
Ages 7-9:
Monday Sessions; 5:30-6:30 (Jan. 9- Mar. 20)
Tuesday Sessions; 4:45-5:45 (Jan. 10- Mar. 21)
This course is designed for elementary students who are interested in learning or solidifying their basic Spanish knowledge in a fun and active classroom. Students will be introduced to the fundamental elements of the Spanish language through song, art, dance, cultural traditions and basic communication. They will be immersed through natural forms of play using manipulatives, creative games, arts, crafts, music, physical movement and age-appropriate worksheets. This class is designed to make learning fun while developing problem solving skills, practicing writing and reading comprehension, and producing quality work. Students will be able to respond to basic communication cues and hold basic conversations in the target language. Register HERE
