The Rain or Shine Club explores your backyard with a concise, thoughtful, outing each week. Join the Club for a fun, well planned, no cost, guided adventure.
Every Thursday, always 10:00am, always free; rain (or snow) or shine. Experience your neighborhood in new ways and learn where to explore across town. We will visit new locations each week in Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, Pownal, New Gloucester, Cumberland, Durham or Gray.

Come explore low tide at this easy coastal access point. We can expect to see lots of hermit crabs, snails, gulls, ducks and maybe some seals and lobster boats. Maybe lots more!
About the Rain or Shine Club
The Rain or Shine Club is geared toward young families. Load your babies in backpacks or come toddle along. Everyone from infants to grandparents are welcome. We keep the group together so everyone enjoys their trip into the wild knowing there’s a safe return as part of the plan. Bring a friend and meet new ones.
About the Adventures
Adventures are typically an hour or two but we are flexible according to the group. The terrain is always pretty accessible but most trails are not suitable for wheeled travel. During the winter, snowshoes are needed foremost outings. The rest of the year we will be hiking, walking or just generally stomping about.
Be mindful of the weather, and dress accordingly. Bring appropriate gear, snacks and a thermos or water bottle. Check back here for any updates or changes. Well behaved dogs are usually welcome with a leash.
