Udderly Amazing Cows

Open to all ages
Cost: $5 per person
Try your hand at milking a cow! Join us to explore the dairy barns and learn about Holstein cows and how we care for them.

Friday on the Farm

Explore life here on the farm. We’ll collect eggs, milk a cow and help feed the farm animals.

Story Hour

Winter Wonderland
Tuesday, January 31, 2017; 10:00am – 11:30am @ Education Barn
Open to ages 3 and up
Cost: $5 per person
Explore and discover the beauty and wonder of Maine’s winter. If weather permits we will be outside learning about woodland creatures, winter survival, snow science, or tracking skills. If the weather is frightful, we will stay indoors with winter themed activities and crafts.

PlayDay on the Farm
Wednesday, February 8, 2017; 10:00am – 11:00am @ Education Barn
Open to ages 3 and up
Cost: $5 per person
Join us for a family play date.  We will open our classroom, share some hands-on activities and give children and their caregivers a place to enjoy each other’s company in self-guided play.

Snowshoe Adventure
Tuesday February 17, 2017 from 10:00am – 11:30am @ Pineland Farms, Mt. Washington Room @ The Commons
Recommended to ages 3 or 4 and up
Cost: $5 per person
Join us on a snowshoe outside through the farmyard and fields as we get to know our wintry surroundings. Become familiar with the basics of snowshoeing and finish off the morning with a cup of hot chocolate. Recommended to ages 3 or 4 and up. ***Pre-registration is required due to a limited number of snowshoes available for rent. Please call the Education Department at 207-650-3031 to reserve your spot. For those with children too young to snowshoe on their own, backpacks are recommended. Please arrive no later than 10:00 and come dressed for the elements. Tickets are non-refundable.
