Tickets still available for the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Company “Polar Express”!

The Polar Express returns to Portland for a 9th season in 2016! The fun begins at the Ocean Gateway Visitor Center, which serves as our train depot for this event. Holiday decorations inside the train add to the festive atmosphere as guests on board meet the Conductor, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies served by our hot chocolate chefs, and listen to a reading of the story as they journey to the “North Pole.”

As always, children under 12 are encouraged to wear their pajamas (though please dress warmly for the winter weather), and will receive a special gift from Santa during the ride. All passengers will enjoy hot chocolate, carol-singing, and — of course — a special visit from Jolly Old St. Nick himself!

Tickets:

Tickets are $29 per coach ticket or $45 per first class ticket (includes fees).

Passengers are encouraged to purchase tickets online at www.porttix.com or by calling PortTIX directly at 207-842-0800.  If there are any tickets still available for a train the day of the event, they can be purchased at Ocean Gateway where the trains depart, one hour before the first train leaves the station.  Advanced reservations are strongly encouraged. Trains usually sell out.

Thanks for your question. Yes, it has been my experience that if they are under 2 and sit on your lap, they are free.
