“The Magic Tree House, Dinosaurs Before Dark” at Ogunquit Playhouse 8/16 & 8/17!

The Ogunquit Playhouse has announced their 2014 Children’s Theater lineup for the summer season. Get your tickets now for these family friendly performances that is sure to engage children of all ages!

What would you do if a tree house in your neighborhood could transport you anywhere you wanted to go? After discovering a tree house full of books, siblings Jack and Annie find themselves transported back to the time of the dinosaurs. Join Jack and Annie on their adventure back in time to experience an amazing group of dinosaurs face to face. This lively musical is an adaptation of the first of Mary Pope Osborne’s award-winning fantasy adventure books from the Magic Tree House book series – a number one New York Times bestseller!

Performances:

• Saturday, Aug 16 – 10am and 1pm
• Sunday, Aug 17 – 10am

All plays are performed by the Junior Players which are productions are by children for children. Junior Players campers spend between one and two weeks learning their craft, including everything from acting, singing and choreography to understanding lighting, sound cues and blocking movements on stage. On the last days of their camp experience, they put on a show for a paying audience! The sets and costumes for these shows are built by the Ogunquit Playhouse production team.
