Lights, camera, action! Attend the Portland Children’s Film Festival 4/2 – 4/6.

Sundance has one for adults, and Portland has one for our favorite little people!

The third annual Portland Children’s Film Festival, held Wednesday, April 2 through Sunday, April 6, is designed to bring high-quality independent and international children’s  films to Maine, as well as to provide opportunities for local children to develop their own film making talents and interact with artists in the film making industry.

As a particularly noteworthy matter for local families, the 2014 Portland Children’s Film Festival also includes the top entries in this year’s Young Filmmakers Contest. The contest features projects from Maine students in kindergarten through twelfth grade who created three-minute film shorts around this year’s theme of “change.” The shorts will be shown at the Nickelodeon Cinema on April 6.
