Upcoming April family programs on weekends at Wolfe’s Neck Woods!

Let us guide you and your family on a fun and engaging walk or activity! Public programs are included with park admission so the family is able to enjoy the park for the remainder of the day!

Guided nature programs, free with park admission, on weekends and holidays at Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park. Starting at 2:00 pm at the benches by the second parking lot unless otherwise noted, weather permitting. In case of inclement weather, please call the park at (207) 865-4465 the day of the program, after 10:00 AM, for trail conditions and program updates.

These one hour programs may include walks, talks, and activities in a beautiful and natural setting.

Cost: Free with park admission: $1.00 for ages 5-11, $4.00 for Maine residents ages 12-64, $6.00 for non-residents ages 12-64, $2.00 for non-residents 65 and older; persons under 5 and Maine residents 65 and older are free.

Casco Bay Walk at Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park
Saturday, 4/16

Enjoy views of rocky shores, nesting osprey and islands on this one-mile walk along the beautiful Casco Bay Trail. Guided nature programs, free with park admission, start at 2:00 pm at the benches by the second parking lot, weather permitting. No reservations are needed except for group programs.

Steamer Dig at Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park
Sunday, 4/17; 2:00pm

Learn about the soft shell clam. Then try your hand at digging this delicacy of the deep mud with an experienced guide. Please bring mud sneakers or high boots, rubber gloves, bucket, and clam hoe or spading fork. Registration required, please contact the park at (207) 865-4465.

Tiny Pioneers – Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park

Get up close to the wild and wooly world of mosses and lichens. No reservations needed except for group programs.

Welcome Tour at Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park
Sunday, 4/24; 2:00pm

Get to know the plants and creatures that live in the park’s forest and on its shores on this eye-opening tour. No reservations are needed except for group programs.
